How to conduct non-destructive testing of glass lined reactor

1. Before non-destructive testing, the welded joint shall pass the inspection of shape, size and appearance. The image of the non-standard state of the surface on the negative shall not cover up or interfere with the image of the defect. Therefore should carry on the necessary arrangement to the detection spot.

2. Class A and B welded joints for inner packagings and tank lids of type III glass lined pressure vessels of design pressure greater than or equal to 1.6 mpa, butt-welded joints with nominal diameter greater than or equal to 250 mm shall be subjected to 99% radiographic or recordable ultrasonic testing.

3. Class A and class B welded joints for glass lined pressure vessel equipment other than as specified above, butt-welded joints, including nozzles with nominal diameter greater than or equal to 250 mm, shall be subjected to local radiographic or recordable ultrasonic testing. The length of the detection, proportion and must be detected parts should be installed GB150 and drawings of the provisions.

4, glass-lined atmospheric pressure reactor and equipment X-ray or ultrasonic detection of the length, proportion and must be detected in accordance with the provisions of JB/T4735.

5. The welded joints of the upper and lower rings of pressure vessels such as glass lined reactors and the inner vessels shall be subjected to kerosene leakage or other appropriate testing methods for leak detection tests and shall not have any leakage. The welded joints of the half pipe to the inner vessel shall also be subjected to 99% surface nondestructive testing.

6. If the welding joint of the equipment such as glass lined reactor which has undergone local non-destructive testing is found to be beyond the standard at the testing site, the supplementary local testing of not less than 250mm should be carried out at the extending parts of the two ends of the defect; If there are still disallowed defects, the welded joint should be all tested.
